Opening Statement by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya During the First Africa-caricom Summit to Be Held Virtually on 7th September, 2021

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this first Africa-CARICOM Summit. I am very pleased that we have opted to hold the Summit virtually rather than postponing it for yet another year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kenya is indeed grateful and feels honoured to host this inaugural Summit of what I believe, is the first of many such summits to follow in the future, in our efforts to strengthen the cords of unity of the African people across the world.
