Message from the Ambassador

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The Embassy is mandated to pursue stronger relations with Algeria and spearhead Kenya’s Diplomatic outreach in the Maghreb region, upholding Kenya’s commitment to the African agenda and to enhance global partnerships through coordination with diplomatic representations of other foreign countries in Algeria.

This mandate is derived from the mandate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as stipulated in the Constitution of Kenya (2010). We are out to enhance the political, economic, cultural and social cooperation between Kenya and the Republic of Algeria. In so doing the Embassy endeavors to provide the best services geared towards the full implementation of Kenya’s Foreign Policy.

The website offers a snapshot of Kenya as a country, its people and relevant links on investment, products and tourism opportunities in tandem with broader Government policy to expand Kenya’s supply capacity and increase its exports of goods and services to global markets. Our intention is to help increase investments, expand the range of exports, increase job opportunities for our people and create shared prosperity in line with Vision 2030.

I acknowledge with much gratitude the continuous support and guidance the Mission continues to receive from the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Dr. Alfred N. Mutua, PS Foreign Affairs Dr. Abraham Korir SingOei and PS State Department for Diaspora Affairs Ms. Roseline K. Njogu.

I also commend the Embassy Staff for their high sense of responsibility, commitment and delivery of quality services which have aided the Mission to realize its mandate in the accredited region.

The website is continually updated to transmit Government policies pertaining to the Diaspora. In this regard, I urge all the Kenyans in Algeria and Mali to engage the Embassy by making inquiry and sending feedback through the contact given in this website.
